What To Expect From Your Senior Portrait Session
You did it, grad! You made it to your senior year in high school. There are so many milestones you met during this journey to your senior year, and we get to commemorate this time in your life with your senior portrait session. While it may seem slightly intimidating or unfamiliar to get your photos taken, I’m here to guide you throughout your session so that you feel prepared leading up to the day and have fun throughout our time together.
My goal is to make the process of your senior portrait session simple and easy from start to finish. While there is a little bit of planning involved, it’s overall a seamless process that’s light hearted and fun! Your session is completely customized to you - I mean it. Whether you are more quiet and calm and are looking for a more traditional approach to capturing photos, or wild and outgoing ready to try new outfits and locations, or anywhere in between, I have you covered.

Personalized Planning
Before the day of your senior portrait session we’ll chat through a few specifics! This can include discussing your preferences, style, and any specific ideas you have in mind. This planning phase helps ensure that your session reflects your personality and captures you in your best light.
Choice of Location and Wardrobe
Senior portrait sessions often involve choosing a location that holds significance to you or showcases your interests, but if you’re not sure where you’d like to go and are open to ideas, I have plenty! Whether it's at your high school, a favorite park, or a coffee shop, I’ll work with you to find the perfect backdrop. Additionally, we can work together to plan your wardrobe, selecting outfits that make you feel confident and comfortable.
Posing Guidance
During your session, I’ll be providing you guidance on posing to capture natural and flattering images. You won’t be left standing there to figure it out on your own or put into awkward poses that feel unnatural, I promise. I’ll also be checking in with you throughout your session to see how you’re feeling to ensure you’re feeling great!
Creating a Memorable and Fun Experience
A senior portrait session is not just about capturing images; it's also about creating a memorable and enjoyable experience. I’ll work with you to make the session fun and relaxed, helping you feel confident and ensuring that the final images reflect the excitement and significance of your senior year.
Whether you’re in the Appleton area, Neenah, Menasha, or surrounding cities, I can’t wait to capture your senior portraits! We’ll work together to plan for a session you’re excited about, have your favorite music playing on Spotify throughout your photos, and ensure you (and your parents, grandma, and dog) have photos you are going to love.
